A micro newsletter platform built for artists to quickly slip into their fans inbox — the brief was; keep it slim, fast and nimble, and we need an MVP in ten days.

We worked with the design team at Pencilbooth to create their custom AWS Serverless infrastructure, building out their API endpoints alongside a scheduling platform for each newsletter's send behaviour.

With a 10 day turnaround from designs to initial deployment, we had our work cut out for us.

Over the past decade we have fostered a close relationship with the Jacky Winter Group, our previous collaborations provided us with an opportunity to push technological boundaries while moving quickly on the MVP.

Our first step involved identifying the primary objectives and the specific timeframe they aimed to meet. These became the building blocks for our infrastructure and development decisions; simple API endpoints, both public and private, an AWS infrastructure using Cloudformation deployment scripts to quickly control the AWS global architecture from a distance.

By 10 days we had a working MVP, with the ability to authenticate through to a Dashboard, spin up a curated Newsletter, manage Subscribers and ultimately send a newsletter using the scheduling service.

At our core, we value the power of collaboration, both internally within our team and externally with our clients. Given the tight timeframe, everyone on our team contributed their expertise, from generating ideas to crafting the end-user experience. We embraced an iterative approach, continuously refining our work as we progress, all while maintaining effective communication to ensure timely deployment.
